Back to the Overview of Five-Flower Formula Help for animals in a variety of situations About 6 months ago, my 16-year old cat “Peggy Sue” was laying stretched out in that position that says “I’m dying.” I was ready to let her go but thought, “maybe she’s in pain,” and so I gave her Five-Flower Formula drops on each ear. Two hours later, she had changed position, one that implied “hmm, feeling better, guess I’m gonna have some more time...” I continued giving it to her every couple of hours and by the end of the day she appeared to be fine and wanted to eat. She is still going strong today. Also, my other cat has a seizure disorder and yet, has outlived all of his siblings. I give him Five-Flower to control his seizures, a drop on each ear, and again in a couple of hours after that. The cat lets me know when she doesn’t want any more. She recovers quite quickly from the seizures with the Five-Flower, and I feel that it also helps reduce the incidence of the seizures; now it only happens maybe once per year or so. Lastly, a friend of mine finds that Five-Flower Formula is a great help for her dog dealing with thunderstorms, and also when taking him to the groomers, which had always been terrifying for him. They suggested giving him Valium. When my friend went back to them, they said “oh, good, you gave him the Valium,” but, it was Five-Flower, not Valium that she had given him; the groomers were very surprised! Calmed cats on drive across country We then decided to drive instead of fly. The morning we left, we once again sprayed ourselves and our cats with the Five-Flower Formula. Within 20 minutes, my friend said the cats just fell asleep in their crate in the backseat. Each day of the five day trip, we would spray each other and the cats with the essence combination, and the cats, in the backseat in their crate, either slept or were just very calm and mellow, “hanging out” until we arrived at a hotel. They didn't fight, they didn't whine or moan, they just sat or laid down, waiting until it was time to get out and go into the hotel. My friend would spray Five-Flower Formula in each new room because it was strange for the cats to be in a totally new place each night—they didn't understand. She said she could visually see the cats' muscles relax and they didn't seem to be bothered by the experience. Thank you all so much! I am a new mom of a six-week-old boy with severe colic—he has cried any time of day, all day (if not sleeping or nursing) and screamed in the traditional peak colic hours. Last night from 3-4 AM, I was awake with him screaming. Tonight, a dear friend of mine was visiting, and heard his poor screaming and asked if I'd tried Five-Flower Formula in a spray for him. His father attempted to take him to bed so I could visit with my friend, so I prepared a bottle and added a few drops of Five-Flower Formula. He stopped crying and slept better than he has lately! He was again up at 3 AM, hungry and wet, but not crying! He was delighted and obviously care-free…he's settled down and again asleep in his swing. We'll go back to bed soon, but I had to write and say thank you! I can't believe I didn't think to use the Five Flower Formula before for my son; I have used it myself for years and have created many adult converts! Five-Flower Essence is the flower essence that I recommend everyone should have on hand. I have bottles of Five-Flower Essence all over the house, barn and car. Five-Flower Essence is for any kind of emergency, trauma, accident, or stressor, large or small. It is also the remedy I recommend when you dont have specific essences on hand. Five-Flower Essence is immediately calming to any animal or person. Several years ago I heard what sounded like thunder outside. I looked out the door and saw my neighbors baby Percheron, Kansas, wildly running around our corral. His people were teaching him to pull carriages. He was dressed in the full, pulling regalia, yoke, with chains coming off of it and tires attached at ground level for weight. Something spooked him and he was off like a flash of lightening. He was running around the corral, frothing. I could just see the chains and tires entangling in the corral and pulling it down, killing or injuring my horses. My
daughter ran for a can of grain and I squirted it with Five-Flower/Trauma
Remedy. My daughter shook the can of grain, his ears perked up and he
came to a screeching halt in front of us. In seconds you could actually
see a calm from the essence wash over him. His people arrived, wild
eyed and stunned that anything could have settled him so quickly. I
think the key is remembering that you have the flower essence and remembering
to use it. One
remedy that is extremely helpful, a kind of standby, that I recommend
to many, many of the people that I work with, both prior to and following
9-11, is the Five-Flower Formula. Dr. Bach initially put this together,
and called it Rescue Remedy, FES calls it the Five-Flower Formula, but
they have maintained the same flowers that Dr. Bach originally put into
this formula, and this is for mental and emotional issues...I also find
its very helpful for any kind of upsetting situation...I always
counsel people to never leave home without it. Speeds
surgical recovery
Case Summary: Animal Protection and Control officers responded to a residence to take custody of a 6-year old male dog whose owner had recently died. Remedy Given: Five-Flower Formula; remedy was diluted in water and squirted at the dog, hitting it in the mouth/nose area. Change in Animal's Condition: Within 5 minutes after the remedy was given, the dog became approachable. The officer was able to collar and leash him and lead him into the van. Case

while at the shelter to assist him in coping with the loss of his owner,
